Fisheye

September 15, 2008
On the suggestion of an amazing photographer, Colleen, (she's the real deal and a fellow Nikon user and very, very helpful) I looked into a fisheye lens. Since there is only one real option, again learned this from Colleen, I went with the Nikon 10.5mm AF DX. I just got the lens about 20 minutes ago and immediately ran outside and thankfully I always have models on hand, took some shots of the pups. These aren't the best pictures and obviously I still have a TON to learn but look how funny it makes my pups look.

This one is a little more wide angle than fisheye (still not sure how any of this happens-yet) but I included it because how often do you get a picture where both of the dogs have their tongues out, oh and the color of the sky-gorgeous!

I am heading to the Great Reno Balloon Races tomorrow morning where I think the fisheye will come in very handy. You'll just have to come back and see for yourself.

Love the beveled look. Wish I could have had more of that in my wedding photography. I'm a sucker for artistic photography.

Our photographer was Matt Kim based out of Oakland. His Web site is at http://mattkim.com/

Our wedding photos are at:

Keep doing what you are doing, you have a real talent there.
