On Saturday, we got up so early that the dogs weren't even quite sure what to do and drove up to Rancho San Rafael for the 27th Annual Great Reno Balloon Race. It was a great opportunity to use the new lens and well really throw off our sleeping schedule for the rest of the weekend.

The Rib Cook-Off, H.A.N., July 4th at South Shore Tahoe, Apple Hill in Placerville.
Almost makes me want to come back to the west coast when I finish grad school.
i love the night shots of the lit balloons...they look spectacular!
